He and his wife have been busy in the restaurant all day because of too many tourists these days.

Du Tianjiang said that the reason why he opened an Indonesian restaurant in Xinglong is related to the Southeast Asian cultural characteristics here.

"Southeast Asian culture has been rooted in Xinglong for 60 years." Du Tianjiang said, for example, coffee culture, in other places are more teahouses, but in Xinglong town there are more than 100 cafes.

"And food culture." Du Tianjiang said that many snacks, such as layer cakes and coconut cakes, were brought back from Indonesia by returned overseas Chinese and have now become Xinglong specialties.

When the typhoon came, the whole house was overturned." "But I was willing to share weal and woe with the people here and build a new life together," he recalled.
