Nestle Coffee Center lays foundation in Pu 'er, Yunnan, China
(Yunnan, March 9, 2015) the large-scale project of Nestle Coffee Center in Pu'er Industrial Park officially broke ground today. the center will greatly enhance its ability to provide training and technical support to farmers and coffee workers. further improve and promote the development of Pu'er coffee industry. The center is expected to be operational during the 2015-2016 coffee purchasing season.
The Nestle Coffee Center consists of two parts. One part is the Nestle Coffee planting training Center and the raw coffee bean testing room, which will provide training for curry farmers, agronomists and coffee professionals, making it the largest coffee training base of its kind in China; the other part is modern storage facilities. With the increase in coffee bean production in Pu'er, this configuration will provide much-needed infrastructure for further coffee bean procurement and establish local high-quality procurement and testing benchmarks based on international standards.
As the first multinational company to invest in agriculture in southwest China, Nestl é, adhering to the consistent business philosophy of "creating shared value", has been committed to cooperating with relevant departments from the central to local governments to jointly promote the industrialization of coffee.
