How to avoid coffee spills while walking
Scientific inquiry is always endless, often some common phenomena also contain great scientific truth, such as-- how to carry a coffee cup without spilling coffee? Scientists from the University of California, Santa Barbara began a series of studies to figure out the best way to hold a coffee cup.

The pace of life is getting faster and faster, people are also in a hurry, and friends who are already working may smell better. Under the high pressure of work, we have to make a cup of coffee all the way, often spilling coffee. Rouslan Krechetnikov, a mechanical engineer at the university, and his graduate student, Hans Mayer, decided to study the interesting phenomenon of coffee spill and carried out a series of experimental studies.
By letting different people hold coffee cups in a straight line at different speeds, they either stare at their coffee cups or at the road ahead, and a high-definition digital camera records the whole process. There is also a small sensor on the coffee cup to monitor whether the coffee in the cup is spilling at any time.

Their findings, published in the latest issue of Physics Review E, point out that average-sized coffee cups produce vibrations that coincide with the movement of human legs while walking, which makes the coffee in the cup vibrate slightly. Spillover usually occurs when the coffee cup holder takes the seventh or tenth step, and slight interference or pause during walking can aggravate the shock and spill over.
So, how to avoid coffee spill? The engineer gave some suggestions for the future. If you put less coffee in the cup, leave some distance between the liquid surface and the mouth of the cup, walk slowly, try to keep a uniform speed, and try to stare at the coffee cup instead of under your feet. Doing the above should reduce or even avoid spilling coffee. Suddenly remembered a sentence, science originates from and serves life.
