The Salvadoran Coffee Commission reported that El Salvador exported a total of 90 9675 grams of coffee in April at an average price of US $198.71 per gram and the export value equivalent to US $19.8 million.

According to official statistics, El Salvador exported 80, 5107 grams of coffee in April of the 2014 harvest year, with an export value of about $15.89 million, at an average price of $186.71 per gram.

The CSC report also showed that the main export market for Salvadoran coffee in April was the United States, accounting for 48.1 per cent of total exports, followed by Japan with 12.2 per cent, Germany with 12 per cent and the UK with 5.2 per cent.

The CSC report also revealed that since November 2014, El Salvador has exported 490000 9415 grams of coffee at an average price of $199.33 per gram, with an export value of $99.55 million. It is 17.6% higher than the harvest year of 2013 and 2014.
