A cafe in Xiamen was exposed to be short of drinks.

(Reporter Chen Lu) A few days ago, Mr. Shen bought a cup of 700cc (700ml) lemon honey green tea at a chain store of Lao Sai Action Cafe. After drinking lemon honey green tea, Mr. Shen accidentally poured a bottle of 500 ml mineral water into the empty glass, which surprised him-the glass was almost full. Mr. Shen felt cheated.

Yesterday, the reporter came to one of the stores of the Old Sai Action Cafe. On the price list in the store, the reporter found that the drinks on the price tag are divided into 400cc, 500cc, 700cc three specifications. The clerk said that these three specifications refer to the volume of the beverage in the cup.

The reporter ordered a cup of 400cc latte coffee, two cups of 500cc and 700cc plain milk tea respectively, all without ice. Among them, 500cc and 700cc original milk tea prices are 6 yuan and 8 yuan respectively.

After the reporter took three cups of drinks home, he used a beaker to measure the volume of the drinks. 400cc latte poured into a beaker is roughly 400cc; 500cc plain milk tea is almost the same.

The biggest difference is 700cc of original milk tea. The reporter poured the milk tea into the beaker twice, about 350cc once and about 250cc once, adding up to only about 600cc. Subsequently, the reporter used a beaker to measure and pour 700 ml of water into the empty 700cc milk tea cup, and found that 700 ml of water just overflowed the mouth of the cup.

A drink labeled 700cc is actually only 600cc, which is equivalent to shrinking by 14%.

The reporter simply calculated that if a branch of the Old Sai Action Cafe could sell 100 cups of 700cc of a certain beverage a day (under the condition of constant beverage making materials), because each cup of beverage was deducted 100cc, the store could make 25 more cups of 400cc of the same beverage or 20 cups of 500cc of the same beverage.

The reporter specifically asked the staff of the 12315 complaint desk of the industrial and commercial department about this, and learned that this kind of "short weight and short two" practice of the merchant is suspected of consumer fraud, and can complain to the industrial and commercial department. Mr. Shen said he would complain to 12315.
