Troubleshooting of MAZZER MAJOR bean grinder

Last week, Xu's mazzer major suddenly stopped working and was going to find someone to fix it, but Xu is already a curious person. I'd better fix it myself first. I can't fix it before I spend money to find someone to fix it.

Let's talk about this machine first: the mazzer major is the most high-end model in the MAZZER flat knife grinder, with a cutter head diameter of 83mm. The grinding speed is fast (grinding 16g powder for about 5 seconds), high torque and low rotational speed (compared with 64 or 58mm cutter head model), uniform grinding particles (although the cone knife machine is trendy, but the grinding is not uniform, and the performance-to-price ratio is not good, so Xu does not catch a cold), super performance, Xu has always thought that "home travel, kill." People. Extinguish. Mouth "or the best choice to open a shop or for your own use, hehe! Xu is a model with an automatic grinding controller, and now the price is about 10, 000 yuan (the ROBUR ELECTRONIC of the cone knife is 20, 000).

Since you fix it yourself, you can tear it down.

The bottom plate can be opened by removing the four pads and the fixing bolts in the middle. For example, there are four main components in the above picture: motor, starting switch (brown part on the right side of motor base), starting capacitor (the starting capacitor of the motor in this picture has been removed by me, so it can't be seen in the picture. The starting capacitor was originally fixed on the left side of the motor base with fixtures and bolts, opposite to the starting switch.) Air switch (the white box on the floor of the bean grinder).

Since Xu didn't have a multimeter and electric pen at hand, he had to rely on his eyes and experience to find faults. First of all, all the connection parts of the lines are checked and it is found that all the lines are not damaged or broken, so the cause of the line can be excluded. The rest are these four parts. Check them one by one.

When you turn on the start switch, you can hear the "click" sound when the air switch starts, but the bean mill does not start, so both the start switch and the air switch are good.

Finally, there is the motor and the starting capacitor. According to experience, the starting capacitor (which is actually a large battery) will age over time, so the possibility of damage is much greater than that of the motor. Don't think about it, remove the capacitor (if it's not broken, just install it, hehe!), cut and remove the capacitor connection cable with wire cutters.

The above picture shows the starting capacitor removed. Because this machine has been used for a long time, the specification on the capacitor can not be seen clearly. Fortunately, in the upper left corner, I can see the word 16uF, just find the specification. Then find a second-hand capacitor of the same specification and replace it (wrapped with insulating tape at the wire joint). As shown below:

After being connected, turn on the power, flip the start switch, and turn! Oh, troubleshooting (I don't know how long this second-hand capacitor will last, and then buy a new one and put it on.)

The rest is to put all the parts back in place, cover the bottom plate, and tighten the screws. Xu's MAJOR is back to life again, hehe!
