Italian companies design a new coffee machine that can be used in space.
A coffee machine designed by an Italian company that can be used in zero gravity.
With the development of science and technology, many impossibilities will become possible. According to Taiwan's Central News Agency on June 18, two Italian companies have designed a unique coffee machine, which will be sent into space in November for astronauts on the International Space Station to enjoy coffee.
Italian coffee maker Lavazza and Italian aerospace company Argotech have jointly launched the 20-kilogram coffee machine ISSpresso, which will provide real Italian espresso for astronauts, the Space report reported.
ISSpresso is a modified coffee machine that can brew coffee in zero gravity. General coffee machines use plastic hoses, while space coffee machines use steel pipes that can withstand high pressure to avoid liquid outflow.
Instead of grinding coffee beans, ISSpresso uses different capsules to make espresso and tea, soups and other coffee drinks, and can restore dehydrated foods at the space station.
It is reported that this kind of coffee can send coffee into sealed plastic bags, and astronauts have to drink it with straws, because under the zero gravity bar, coffee will not stay in the cup. (trainee Editor: Zheng Huiting Review: Tan Liya)
