AboutCOSTA Ka Family

COSTA's brand story dates back to South London in 1971, when coffee connoisseurs Sergio and Bruno Costa had a dream to bring real espresso to London, England. The two brothers started out as wholesalers of espresso beans, baking more than 40 varieties of coffee at a bakery on Old Paradise Street near Big Ben, near the River Thames, in Lambeth, and more and more of them were produced over the years. Forty years later, COSTA still bakes the original coffee recipe, MOCHAITALIAN BLEND.
In 1978, the brothers decided to share their passion for coffee with people in London, inviting them to be part of the COSTA family so that customers could not only enjoy the irresistible coffee, but also feel the sincere community spirit through the spread of coffee culture. In this way, the first COSTA coffee shop was born in central London, becoming the first boutique coffee shop at that time. COSTA is still inspired by the cultural diversity and inclusiveness of London and has gradually grown into the second largest coffee chain brand in the world.
As a British national coffee brand, COSTA is the first coffee chain to embody the concept of "from bean to cup"-from purchasing, storing, mixing, roasting, grinding to making coffee without any third party. COSTA's business philosophy is to maintain a high degree of care for coffee growers, the environment and the community where the store is located. All COSTA coffee beans come from certified rainforest farms, and the highest quality 1% coffee beans are carefully selected as the final purchase.
COSTA improved the traditional Italian baking method, using slow baking, which took about 22 minutes to awaken the natural aroma of each coffee bean. Although this will greatly reduce the yield, it is more mellow than the usual roasted coffee beans, especially to avoid the bitterness of short-term baking in high heat and retain the grease and aroma of the coffee. COSTA's professional tasting experts ensure the taste of each batch of coffee beans and the authenticity of the ingredients. To this day, every cup of COSTA coffee still comes from the roasting and mixing of coffee workshops in London's Old Paradise Street (Old Paradise Street), and still maintains its unique rich and mellow taste.
