AQSIQ approved the establishment of the National Coffee testing key Laboratory (Pu'er) on December 2 through careful examination and acceptance. So far, the only national coffee product professional testing laboratory was born in Pu'er.
For a long time, because coffee products have no industry standards, no ministerial standards and no national standards, both sides of the trade rely only on samples and the conditions put forward by buyers, which seriously restricts the trade of coffee products and the development of coffee industry. On the other hand, the planting area and output of coffee in Pu'er City are more than half of the country, and the internationally famous Nestle, Maxwell and American Kraft Foods have all set up purchasing outlets in Pu'er. Pu'er coffee has been exported to Europe, America, Japan, South Korea and other more than 30 countries and regions. It is urgent to set up a professional coffee testing key laboratory in Pu'er.
In order to establish the national coffee testing key laboratory as soon as possible, the Pu'er municipal party committee and municipal government attached great importance to it. Under the circumstances of financial difficulties, it raised 10 million yuan, and a municipal government leader took the lead in the declaration and preparation of the laboratory. In strict accordance with the requirements of the municipal party committee and municipal government and the Yunnan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the Pu'er entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has actively applied to the General Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in the past three years, and the General Administration of quality Inspection and Quarantine has purchased laboratory testing equipment with more than 10 million yuan. The Pu'er Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has transferred competent cadres, readjusted and enriched laboratory personnel, and done a good job in relevant work in strict accordance with state-level laboratory standards. In early September, the National Coffee testing key Laboratory (Pu'er) passed the on-site examination and acceptance of the AQSIQ examination and acceptance team, and was formally approved and established on December 2.
The establishment of the national key laboratory for coffee testing has filled the gap in the lack of coffee professional laboratories in China, and will further formulate and standardize the quality standards of coffee products. it has set up a multi-functional platform for coffee inspection and quarantine, arbitration, scientific research, personnel training and foreign technology exchanges, which will further promote the foreign trade of coffee and the rapid development of Pu'er coffee industry.
