Morecambe Silver Cafe

Arca's Silver Café on Morecambe's pedestrian plaza is now complete. It became a unique new landmark for the town. Lancaster City Council's Reclaim Morecambe development committee commissioned designs for new cafes and public toilets.

The front and back of the cafe are glass. Stainless steel bands wrap the entire space, glass windows offer views of Morecambe Bay, and glass also protects against harsh marine weather. Shiny organic forms became a "full stop" on the West Coast.

The cafe is located on steps above the seawall and has an outdoor seating area to the south. Seats can be arranged on the steps. Make the surrounding space human. Solid materials such as oak hardwood doors and steel fittings are used for toilets.
