At that time, Ted Lingle, founder of the American Fine Coffee Association, will visit Pu'er, give lectures and present awards.

In May 2013, "Pu'er, the Coffee Capital of China" and the American Fine Coffee Association jointly held the first raw bean competition. Mr. Ben Pitts, secretary general of the American Fine Coffee Association (SCAA), personally flew from the United States to Pu'er as the general judge, inviting Ms. Bai Fang, dean of CBC Zhenkford International Coffee training Institute, and Mr. Li Jianming, chairman of the Program Co-ordinating Committee of the Hong Kong Coffee Industry Association, to serve as judges. Huang Wei, a member of the roaster union of the American Fine Coffee Association (SCAA) and an authoritative coffee roaster in China, was invited to serve as the chief roaster. "Chenzhao Futang" and "Mojiang County" both won the first coffee gold award and became the first batch of representative boutique coffee in China.
