The Kettle Black in Melbourne: when a high-end restaurant meets a light meal

The location is so unique that half of the cafe is on the first floor of a brand new apartment and the other half is in an old Victorian townhouse next to it. Designed by Studio You Me, the lower half of the apartment is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize light absorption, while half of the townhouse makes people feel comfortable and feel at home. To connect the two sides, complex elements such as marble, brass and green tiles are used to achieve aesthetic unity on both sides, while the use of light adds features to the cafe on one side of the new building.
