Japanese Ogawa Coffee opens shop in the United States and is the world champion of flower pull.
Japanese Ogawa Coffee opened in Boston, the first American store in Japanese coffee history! Founded in 1957, coffee roasters and coffee chain Ogawa Coffee, which has 40 stores across Japan, plans to open its first store in the United States in downtown Boston next spring.
After two years of inspection, Ogawa decided to choose Boston over New York. "this is because Boston's demographic data and structure are very similar to those of Tokyo, both of which have a rich history and culture, and a large number of college-age populations, including international visitors," said Takako.
Ogawa's first store in the United States will work with the 2010 world flower champion Haruna Murayama, which will be responsible for the operation of the store. It is worth mentioning that the 2013 world champion Hisako Yoshikawa is also from Ogawa.
