Ricardo Darihi, born in Potenza in 1931, was a poetic and shy architect, professor and industrial designer who, besides teaching architecture and industrial design, was also head of the Department of Industrial Design at the University of Neapolis, Fedrico II and one of the founders of the Global Tool Group, Artiminime Polytechnic Experimental School. He has long been good at product design in the spirit of craftsmanship. He spent 9 years designing tin coffee pots for Alessi. The Neapolitan coffee pot he designed for Alessi from 1979 to 1987 was Alessi's longest-running design project, for which he also published a book and produced more than 200 tin coffee pot prototypes.
