The Neapolitan coffee pot he designed for Alessi from 1979 to 1987 was Alessi's longest-running design project, for which he also published a book and produced more than 200 tin coffee pot prototypes. The Neapolitan, designed in the shape of the scarecrow in the fairy tale Alice in Wonderland, finally went on sale in 1987 and won him the 12th Campeso Design Award.
