This oversized NES-style coffee table isn’t just for show — it’s fully functional and can house a real NES console inside.

If you grew up with the Nintendo Entertainment System, you probably spent hours hunched over its tiny gray console, blowing into cartridges and wrestling with controllers. But what if your favorite childhood console wasn’t just a nostalgic memory — but also the centerpiece of your living room, in the form of a fully functional, oversized coffee table?

This massive NES-style coffee table, built by a fan named Matt, isn’t just a replica for display. It’s a working entertainment hub that can fit a real NES inside, complete with functional buttons and space for storage.

What Is the Giant NES Coffee Table?

The oversized NES coffee table is a life-sized replica of the original Nintendo Entertainment System, designed to look identical to the classic 1980s console but built on a much larger scale. While a standard NES console could easily fit in the palm of your hand next to it, this coffee table version is built to be both a piece of furniture and a functional gaming device.

How Does It Work?

Despite its enormous size, the NES coffee table is fully operational. Every button on the console’s front panel — including the power switch, reset button, and game cartridge slot — functions just like the original. The control pads are also connected and usable, either directly or via a linked computer setup for modern play. The table houses an actual NES console inside its spacious interior, keeping it protected yet accessible.
