Strictly speaking, it is a cafe that also sells furniture, but it is because a bowl of popular Taiwanese beef has become popular. Although it is not located in the business district in the city, on weekends, some people come by car with their families.
The owner of this store is husband and wife. Mr. Zhang Guangzhi first engaged in the sports industry, and his wife Ziyue is a media person. both of them have nothing to do with opening the store. At the beginning, the couple wanted to have a platform to share their food and furniture accumulation over the years. So my wife went to Taiwan to get a professional barista certificate, studied dessert making and food photography, while my husband was in charge of designing the space and choosing the furniture he liked to put in the store.
Why can they make great beef noodles? With this question in mind, we made an appointment with the boss for a chat.

Before the interview, I went to the store in advance and ordered a bowl of large beef noodles. I would like to taste it first. After doing my homework, I learned that there was a large portion of beef noodles, so I was hungry all morning. But even so, the challenge of finishing large portions of beef noodles has not been met.
The first impression of a large bowl of beef noodles is affordable, and the configuration of noodles, meat and dishes also makes people look appetitive.
Although I have never tasted the real Taiwanese beef noodles, the bowl in front of me is more delicate and richer than Lanzhou beef noodles in the streets, and it is not like many Japanese ramen noodles soup. After all the descriptions and traceability, it is still a bowl of delicious beef noodles for noodle-loving northerners.
After eating the noodles, I started a conversation with the boss and his wife, and my question was very straightforward: there are some legends about the private recipe of beef noodles on the Internet. is it really that exaggerated?
The answer is, there is, because there are so many details. In order to make this bowl of noodles well, my husband first learned the traditional Taiwanese beef noodle from his mother. after debugging back and forth, he improved it to better suit the tastes of northerners. In terms of ingredients, not only Australian fat cattle, but also Japanese Guijiawan soy sauce, red standard rice wine and Okayama bean paste, which were brought back from Taiwan, were simmered over low heat for four hours before the beef was made so tasty. The delicious soup has nothing to do with monosodium glutamate and comes entirely from the broth that has been boiled for 40 hours. So although taste is such a personal matter, people have reached a consensus on a bowl of noodles.
Curiously, why is there such an affordable beef noodle in such an exquisite cafe?

My wife said that because she understands people who often go to coffee shops, compared with the cramped family space and the seriousness of the office, people are more and more eager for a reasonable third space to hold daily activities outside the company and the family. For those who need to stay in the cafe for a long time, it would be nice to have hot meals and noodles in addition to drinks and desserts when they are hungry.
Chinese people still have a Chinese stomach, so beef noodles, as a part of good food, naturally appear on the menu. To the noodle shop, as the owner and his wife said, "the beef noodles I want to eat can not be small meat, a little noodles, and the price is expensive." Now that I have chosen this place, I will make a shop that people can eat enough to eat and like. "
Another special thing about A+ is that even those who come for beef noodles will visit the furniture stores here. When it comes to beloved furniture, the husband who has not talked much has also begun to become talkative. Almost all the furniture sold here are second-hand products that my husband bought from all over the world, and the style is also a more unified European industrial style. He will also trace the origin of the furniture he has purchased and first understand its manufacturers and the stories behind it. The timing of these furniture is basically controlled in the period from the first World War to the second World War. My husband said that because a large number of materials such as cast iron, leather and wood were used in furniture manufacturing in the materials rebuilt after the war, so the furniture of this period has the characteristics of simplicity, high function and more sense of weight, so it will be fascinating.

When asked about the husband and wife, after spending so much effort to make coffee and furniture, but finally became famous for beef noodles, is it a bit unwilling? The husband began to chuckle like a child, and the wife explained that she didn't want to make beef noodles as a sign in the first place and intended to do better. They are strict with every kind of food in the store, such as Steamed Rice with Red-Cooked Pork, Stewed Chicken with Three Cups Sauce and many other foods that look "affordable" in the same serious way. Luckily, beef noodles were the first to be famous. Many people come to Atai for beef noodles and find that there is still furniture and coffee. No matter what kind of things they like in the store, it is a pleasure to recognize the attitude of heart.
For people who often live in Beijing, the grassy village where A+ is located is not a mainstream holiday destination. Although there are studios of famous artists Lu Yongzhong and Ai Weiwei around here, there is no shortage of native villagers who rush to buy a jin of biscuits as soon as they enter the door.
When it comes to why the location is here, at first, it is because it is close to my wife's clothing studio, and the rent is cheaper than in the city center, so there is more space and a more comfortable atmosphere. Later, the two found that although it was located outside the Fifth Ring Road, it was not remote because of the convenient transportation, so if there was a reason for everyone to come.
"because when I was studying in the United States, I thought it was the most important to get an A+ score, so I also hope that I can reach the A+ level here. If we can't do everything perfectly, at least we'll do it in the direction of A+. " The husband and wife have always stressed that their story is very simple, there is no need for too esoteric behind the story, all is serious to do, like things and ideas to others just.
