China's first batch of "Fair Trade Coffee" is exported to Europe from Yunnan.
In January this year, Yunnan Simao Beigui Coffee Co., Ltd. won the Fair Trade Certificate issued by the International Fair Trade Organization and became the first coffee enterprise in China to pass the Fair Trade Certification. Fair Trade is an organized social movement that originated in Europe in the 1950s and promotes fairness standards for global labor, environmental protection and social policies. Fairtrade products have their minimum protection price and a certain amount of repayment to producers, which aims to ensure the reasonable remuneration of producers and to protect the local working environment and ecological environment. The minimum protection price for small grains of washed coffee is 140 cents per pound, while the minimum protection price for organic coffee is 170 cents per pound and the rebate is 20 cents per pound. For this export, the return money returned to Pu'er Coffee Professional Cooperative Union is about 55000 yuan.
It is reported that in order to help enterprises open up the international market and promote the sustainable development of Pu'er coffee industry, Pu'er entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has gone deep into enterprises many times to guide the links of planting, picking, processing, and sales, and to help enterprises successfully pass the assessment of the International Fair Trade Organization.
