At present, Yunnan has become the largest coffee producing area in China, with a coffee planting area of nearly 1.8 million mu and an output of 130000 tons. Yunnan limited edition espresso is a pure Arabica coffee, the packaging design comes from Chinese ink painting, and the limited edition logo design uses Chinese traditional seal culture, which complements the theme of Chinese coffee.

Luo Yucheng, director of Nestle Pu'er purchasing station, said that the capsule coffee machine has entered urban life in China. During the 2014-2015 purchasing season, Nestl é Pu'er Agronomy Department received a special task from the Swiss headquarters: to purchase good Yunnan coffee beans to make a limited edition espresso.

For this reason, Nestl é traced the quality of coffee suppliers according to the supply situation of coffee suppliers in recent years, evaluated the level of coffee endoplasm and the stability of coffee quality, and finally locked more than 10 planting bases. Under the advice and guidance of Nestl é coffee agronomists, farmers choose the best fresh fruits in the coffee base, from peeling, degumming, soaking, drying, shelling and grading to screening. In the end, seven suppliers won, including 2 from Xishuangbanna and 5 from Pu'er.

"making capsule coffee with coffee beans from Yunnan is a recognition for Yunnan coffee growers to continuously improve their planting technology, improve their quality and grow in a sustainable way, and it also makes consumers' drinking experience more meaningful." Luo Yucheng said.

According to reports, since the launch of agricultural technical assistance service projects and the opening of demonstration farms in Yunnan in the 1990s, Nestl é is stepping up efforts to provide technical support to Yunnan coffee producing areas.
