Yunnan Coffee Industry adds World Top Coffee Variety Rose Xia

Geisha, pronounced like a Japanese geisha, is also known as geisha coffee. Its species was discovered in the Rose Summer Forest of Ethiopia in 1931 and sent to the Coffee Institute in Kenya. It was introduced to Uganda and Tanzania in 1936, Costa Rica in 1953, and Panama from Francesca in the Dongba Seven Farm Garden in the 1970s. Mr. Serraxin introduced the coffee from Costa Rica and began to grow Rosa Coffee. Because the output is very low and he has to participate in the bidding, it can be said that this bean is not easy to come by. According to Liu Minghui, chairman of Aiyi Group, in January this year, Aiyi Manor sent samples of 33 new coffee varieties introduced to the United States. Ted Ringer (Ted Lingle), former president of the American Fine Coffee Association (SCAA) and one of the founders of the Coffee quality Research Institute (CQI), was invited to test the cup of the world coffee industry. The cup test scores of the first five varieties were 84.25,84.5,84.5,85.5 and 87, respectively.

Industry insiders said that Yunnan coffee planting area, output accounted for 99% of China, mostly exported as raw materials to Europe, North America and other countries. With the gradual expansion of China's coffee consumption market, the successful introduction of Zuoxia can adjust the demand of Yunnan coffee farmers, market, and industry, and boost the income of Yunnan coffee farmers. Recently, the reporter learned from Aiyang Group that after nearly five years of cultivation and initial processing technology, the group successfully introduced the world's top coffee variety-Rosa. The introduction of this product is of great significance to the development of China's coffee industry, as well as to the cultivation and variety improvement of coffee in Yunnan.

According to reports, since the company reached a cooperation with Starbucks in 2011, the two sides have joined hands to improve the planting level and variety selection of coffee in Yunnan. With the help of Starbucks and the Yunnan provincial government, Aixing Group has introduced 33 high-quality coffee varieties, such as Rosa, Bobang, Kaddura, Kaduai, Tippika, Verasaci and Regina, from the major coffee producing areas around the world, and established the World Coffee Expo Park. The project has been established and supported by the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and the Agriculture Department of Yunnan Province has also given strong support.

Seedlings were successfully raised in 2012, transplanted in June 2013, and fully put into production in 2015. At present, the quality of Rose summer raw bean has tended to be mature and stable. This variety has good adaptability to climate and soil in this region, resistance to rust, high yield and strong cold resistance, especially in cup quality.
