On the afternoon of the 8th, a batch of Yunnan coffee just returned from an exhibition at the United Nations Palais des Nations in Geneva was permanently sealed in Kunming. This is the first time that Chinese coffee has been unveiled at the UN Palais des Nations exhibits. The "first show" of Chinese coffee in the United Nations was a great success, and the small grain coffee from Yunnan was also well received by coffee experts from all over the world.

From August 25 to September 6, the promotion event of "perceiving the Beauty of China in Yunnan" was held at the United Nations Office at Geneva. In addition to art performances, photo exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and Yunnan Film Exhibition of China, coffee from Yunnan of China was unveiled at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. This is also the first time that Chinese coffee has been exhibited at the United Nations.

The Chinese coffee unveiled at the Palais des Nations is Yunnan local brand Hougu Coffee, which is divided into three categories: coffee beans, instant coffee powder and instant coffee, with a total of more than 40 items. In addition to the display, these coffee products are also sold on the spot, and all the proceeds from the sale are donated to relevant United Nations charities.

Hu Lu, deputy secretary general of the Yunnan Coffee Industry Association, who participated in organizing the exhibition, said that the display of Chinese coffee at the Palais des Nations has changed the impression of officials stationed in Geneva at the United Nations that "China has only tea but no coffee." Chinese coffee is highly recognized by them.

Hu Lu told reporters that Tokayev, the director-general of the United Nations in Geneva, spoke highly of Chinese coffee-"I didn't expect that China still has such good coffee!" After tasting Hougu coffee, officials and media reporters from more than 100 countries and regions around the world marveled that China had such good coffee. Importers and exporters of coffee from France, Germany, Switzerland and other countries also expressed their willingness to become the sales agent of Hougu coffee in that country.

Hu Lu said: "Hougu Coffee represents Yunnan coffee on display at the UN Palais des Nations, which plays a positive role in developing China's potential coffee consumption market and broadens channels for international understanding of Chinese coffee and Yunnan coffee. It is hoped that more and more Yunnan coffee enterprises and Chinese coffee enterprises will go out to spread Yunnan coffee and Chinese coffee. "

Coffee is the world's largest drink besides water, with a total global coffee consumption of more than 8 million tons. In recent years, China has become one of the countries with the fastest growth rate of coffee consumption in the world. Yunnan is the main coffee producing area in China, and its coffee output accounts for 99% of China's coffee output. The quality of its small seed coffee has been well received by experts at home and abroad.
