American companies invest $200 million to help Vietnamese coffee farmers
Mondelez International, the world's second-largest coffee company, said in Hanoi on July 3 that it would invest 200 million US dollars to support Vietnamese farmers to grow coffee in Xiyuan and Lintong. Through the "Coffee creates Happiness" program, the company will train 1500 coffee farmers to increase coffee production and quality, and plans to produce 7000 tons of 4C coffee by 2020, improving the lives of 5000 farmers.
