The coffee made by the robot wants to taste what it tastes like.
In this CES Asia exhibition, smart devices occupy most of the exhibition area, including some robot-related projects. When you are still wondering when the robot will enter our lives, this robot that can make coffee can definitely give you the answer, and became the focus of the scene as soon as it appeared on the scene.
The robot with coffee-making skills comes from BUBBLE LAB Lab, which has many interesting robot projects underground, including not only those who can make coffee, but also those who can play football and dance.
Under the training of the on-site staff, the "barista version" UR5 robot has been able to complete a whole set of coffee brewing process, such as warming cups, grinding beans, combining utensils, transferring bean powder, steaming and brewing. Look at this flowing action without pause.
Although BUBBLE LAB is the research side of coffee robot, it is actually transformed from Universal Robots's universal robot prototype, which is an industrial robot company headquartered in Odense, Denmark. It focuses on the user maneuverability and flexibility of robots, and its main product is robotic arm form.
Universal Robots has launched a number of lightweight industrial robots, the most famous of which are the UR5 and UR10. The robot with coffee-making skills seen by the editor at CES is the UR5.
Unlike other industrial robots, the UR5 is delicate, 18kg, easy to program (the average person can write a piece of code to hold a water cup in 10 minutes) and cheap ($35000). In addition, it also has some automated functions, such as machine maintenance, packaging, coloring and polishing and assembly.
The UR5 manipulator uses an industrial-grade computer for calculation, and the computer constantly monitors the robot's speed, power and pressure. The data of each joint and controller are recorded. Then every 8 milliseconds, the data goes into the calculation. Without this process, the robot will stop working and enter safe mode.
Universal Robot can help us make coffee, thanks to its patented technology to measure electrical parameters at each point. The robotic arm has an intuitive graphical user interface connected to the tablet and a teaching system similar to the Baxter robot robot recently released by Rethink Robotics.
The advantage of this system is that it greatly reduces the barriers to entry for users, but there is also a drawback that everything must be programmed. For example, let the robotic arm pour coffee to three empty cups. It can only pour a fixed amount of coffee into each cup according to the preset parameters. If the cup is too small to be the one in its "memory", it will overflow.
BUBBLE LAB staff at the scene also said that this is the first time that an industrial robot has been applied to the scene of making coffee, and people will soon see it in an offline coffee shop in Beijing.

There is a marketing philosophy everywhere in coffee franchisees. Let's learn from the big shots.
Although the cup-shaped activity is ingenious in design, I don't advocate it. If you know Luo Yonghao, then you must know this, that is, I'm sorry, sir. This is the big cup, and this is the medium cup, which comes from the clip of the online movie pony. Why did this bullshit happen? We came to see the Starbucks display cup holder and asked which one is the big cup. I asked 10 people, 10.

The powerful super-differential resolution of micro-nano three-dimensional CT is specially supported by the development of major national scientific instruments and equipment. Chongqing True testing Technology Co., Ltd. and the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education of the Ministry of Education jointly developed a new generation of ultra-micro-resolution micro-nano CT analyzer with the highest spatial resolution of 250nm. According to the R & D personnel, the core technology of the multi-function CT machine unveiled this time.
