The Yunnan Coffee Raw Bean Competition ended in Pu'er.

On the 19th, the second Yunnan Coffee Raw Bean Competition 2017 ended in Pu'er City.
From February 20, 2017 to the end of the coffee bean harvest season, the quality Inspection Department of Yunnan International Coffee Trading Center tested the water content, defects and particle size of raw coffee beans in strict accordance with the participating bean standards. A total of 120 raw coffee beans from six Yunnan coffee producing areas, including Pu'er, Xishuangbanna, Lincang, Dehong, Baoshan and Chuxiong, participated in the competition. The diversity of coffee in Yunnan is fully reflected by different processing methods, such as water washing, honey treatment, solarization and so on.

In this international contest on the tip of the tongue, it shows that Yunnan coffee can make a world-class boutique." According to the person in charge of Yunnan International Coffee Trading Center, the quantity and quality of participating beans have improved significantly this year, with more than 90% of participating coffee beans achieving a good score of more than 80 points. The competition not only tested the consistency between the processing capacity of farmers and production standards, but also met the market demand for boutique coffee.
The competition is co-sponsored by the Coffee quality Society (CQI), Pu'er Coffee Association and Yunnan International Coffee Trading Center. During the competition, Pu'er City also held activities such as Yunnan Coffee Appraisal, China Pu'er Coffee Cup World siphon Pot Competition, Pu'er Coffee Salon and Pu'er Coffee Tour.
