When you want to take a taxi, a car comes to the door immediately with a click on the mobile phone; when you get off the subway, the mobile phone sweeps the code and easily rides a shared bike. But have you ever thought that the conference room can also be "on call"? A few days ago, Unbounded Space, which has just received nearly 100 million yuan of A+ round financing, announced that its hatched shared living room project WStudio has been officially launched, and the first batch of layout in Dongzhimen, Wangjing, ITC and other places of more than 40 intelligent shared conference room network, so that white-collar workers, entrepreneurs have a booking room.

The entrepreneurial living room can be booked on the same day.

On the one hand, some people are enthusiastically discussing tens of billions of dollars of business, and on the other hand, students are arguing about a game. If you often have an interview with a friend or business partner in a coffee shop, such an embarrassing scene will not be unfamiliar.

"I would like to recommend a place near Dongzhimen that is suitable for a meeting of 15 people, requiring convenient transportation and good privacy." Liu Qiu is a staff member of a start-up incubator. Because she often needs to deal with start-ups and investment institutions, she often sends out such urgent requests for help in her moments, asking friends to recommend suitable meeting places for her. However, if you make a reservation by phone according to everyone's suggestion, you will probably encounter some problems, such as being unable to make a reservation, being chartered by activities, and so on. Usually, conference rooms in Beijing hotels are so tight that it is common to book a week in advance, and it is very difficult to find a suitable conference room nearby.

At 4 p.m., she turned on her phone, APP, called WStudio, and booked a nearby conference room "from 06:30 to 07:30" like a chauffeured taxi. The conference room, which is a five-minute walk from the subway station, provides enclosed meeting space with tables and chairs for eight people, as well as a large-screen device that is easy to demonstrate. Renting the parlor for an hour costs her a little more than 100 yuan, which is equivalent to a few cups of coffee.

More conveniently, after a successful reservation on the mobile phone, she does not have to contact the front desk staff of the cafe, she just needs to follow the instructions to find the conference room, go straight to the door, click on the phone to unlock, and the mobile phone page will display "unlocking" as before the shared bike smart lock is opened. A few seconds later, the smart door lock of the conference room was opened. Before the scheduled meeting time begins, the system will also send a reminder text message to prevent you from being late.

The lack of meeting space has become a "pain point" for mobile office.

"there are more than 9 million white-collar workers in Beijing, but the allocation rate of conference rooms is only about 20%, and the demand far exceeds the supply." Gao Wenxin, head of WStudio, revealed the results of a market research conducted by the team.

In his past work experience, Gao Wenxin himself often encountered the "pain point" of mobile office. Since she was in charge of market development in Nanjing, Wuhan, Zhengzhou and other cities at Uber, a shared travel company, she often needs to travel to various cities across the country. When meeting with business partners, coffee shops like Starbucks became her first choice because of their dense outlets and convenient transportation.

"startups are growing rapidly every day, and the venue can never catch up with the growth rate of the company." In market research, Gao Wenxin's team found that many of the world's top 500 companies do not have enough conference rooms and often need to rent space outside the company for meetings.

"through the innovative model of the sharing economy, Uber has changed the way people travel, mobike has solved the problem of people's last kilometer travel, and airbnb has subverted people's living experience. Why can't we subvert the traditional way of working and meeting visitors?" Gao Wenxin said. At the end of 2016, she joined Wonderland with several "old subordinates" engaged in shared travel and began to operate the shared living room project.

The operator and the site achieve a win-win situation

The location of the shared conference room is fastidious, which must be easily accessible and close to the target customers. Gao Wenxin put an electronic map of Beijing on the screen. Where there are subway stations, top 500 enterprises, and start-ups, they will get a label and mark down the areas one by one. A hot map of the greatest demand for shared conference rooms appears.

Through Dianping, recommended by friends, etc., she and her team called more than 2000 cafes in Beijing. Like countless start-ups, they have suffered the embarrassment of being rejected again and again.

However, 500 cafes received their door-to-door visits. For these cafes, the idea of sharing conference rooms also activates their idle resources. Sit for a day with a cup of coffee-in the early days of startup cafes, this model benefited many entrepreneurs and mobile workers. However, coffee shop operators scattered in all corners of the city have a lot of trouble-high space rents on the one hand and extremely low overturning rates on the other. In some low-peak periods, there are few guests in the cafe, so if you can open up a space of about ten square meters and rent it to urgently needed business people by the hour, it is also a good deal for the cafe.

Three months later, the first 40 shared conference rooms customized in cooperation with cafes and office buildings have been renovated and can be booked at any time after downloading the WStudio app from the app store. The cost of using such a conference room ranges from 60 yuan to 200 yuan per hour, and the number of people that can be accommodated in the conference room ranges from six or seven to ten or twenty people. For the operator, WStudio only needs to share the revenue from the timeshare of the conference room with the cafe and does not have to pay any additional rent.

The space waiting to be activated extends far beyond the cafe. Bookstores and apartments are also possible forms of cooperation for WStudio shared conference rooms in the future, and when the density of shared conference rooms is high enough, the number of users will multiply.
