Tea, coffee, drink water, be careful. Thirsty.

Drinking more water is good for your health. Does drinking tea and coffee count as drinking water? Dietitians say that beverages cannot completely replace water, especially tea, coffee, and alcoholic beverages are beneficial to diuresis. People with large amounts of exercise, kidney stones, gout and heavy labor need to make up for them with more boiled water and form the habit of pure drinking water in order to achieve water balance.
The daily water requirement of the human body is calculated by drinking per kilogram of body weight multiplied by 30 milliliters of water. A 28-year-old woman, with a standard posture, 165cm tall and 55kg weight, should drink 1650 ml of water a day. But she doesn't like to drink water. She only drinks 1000 milliliters of sugary drinks a day, which has been the case since she was a student. As a result, her cholesterol exceeded the standard, and it took her a while to get rid of her sugar addiction before her cholesterol levels returned to normal.
Li Wanping, a dietitian at Rongxin Clinic, says that the standard daily water demand does not include sugary drinks, but modern people do not like to drink plain boiled water. Drinking half water with half sugar-free drinks, such as sugar-free coffee and tea, is still within acceptable range, but it is not recommended to replace them all with beverages, because caffeinated drinks are diuretic and may lose water, and pure water is still needed to replenish them.
Peng Yusen, director of the Department of Nephrology at Yadong Hospital, points out that when the body loses water, most people activate the normal mechanism and naturally want to drink water, but some people do not feel thirsty. For example, if the autonomic nervous function of the elderly deteriorates, it may not be easy to feel thirsty. But the body is actually in a state of lack of water, so you should still replenish water regularly and drink enough water for a day.
Some ethnic groups even need to drink more water to replenish them. for example, gout patients will increase uric acid after drinking tea and coffee. For those with kidney stones, the oxalic acid in tea and coffee will affect the stones, and even workers with heavy workload will be seriously dehydrated when the weather is hot. The difference in weight between morning and evening is nearly 5 kilograms. Once these people drink drinks with caffeine and alcohol, they need to drink more water.
Drinking sugary drinks is not as good as boiling water to quench thirst. Peng Yusen says that after drinking sugary drinks, blood sugar rises briefly, and the hypothalamus of the brain sends a message that when the sugar content in the blood increases and the concentration of solute in the blood increases, it will cause thirst. Therefore, drinking sugary drinks will become more and more thirsty. If you want to quench your thirst, it is better to drink water.
Xu Huiyu, director of the Dong's Foundation Food and Nutrition Center, suggests that you can choose a good time to drink water, such as getting up early to drink water to help defecate, drinking water before meals to create a sense of satiety can help reduce food intake, and finding that urine becomes darker during urination is a warning of lack of water in the body.
