African Coffee Today

Coffee tree in botany, belongs to the Rubiaceae coffee subgenus evergreen tree, and we say coffee beans, coffee tree is the fruit of the seeds.

Climate is the decisive factor for coffee cultivation. Coffee trees only grow in the tropics or subtropics, so the zone between north and south latitudes, including the equator, is most suitable for coffee cultivation.

However, not all places in this production zone are suitable for growing coffee. The conditions of altitude, temperature, temperature difference and water must be strong. God gives different blessings to each place, so the quality of coffee produced by different coffee producing areas will also have a high distinction.

This coffee-producing zone is called the Coffee Belt or Coffee Zone.

Ethiopia, the old coffee-growing country, has always been in an unshakable dominant position in this cross-century war of coffee quality competition.

Ethiopia is now ranked first in the list of the world's top coffee origins, regardless of the version, and Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, etc., also from Africa, regardless of the version.

Ethiopia's Yegasherfi has complex, rich chocolate and fruity aromas, while Kenya's Bourbon has lemon, blackcurrant and grapefruit aromas.

Of course, this is fine coffee beans, not commercial coffee. When it comes to commercial coffee, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia and others are the leaders in supplying commercial coffee shops around the world because of their high yields and low costs.

These star beans from coffee producing areas other than Africa, such as Panama's rose, Indonesia's civet droppings, and Jamaica's Blue Mountains, are also world famous.
