Beijing | C5
The Art Oasis of the Entertainment Center
C5 Cafe falls quietly in the last row of white bungalows in C5 Art (West Fifth Art Center), while C5 Art hides in a large and deep courtyard in Sanlitun Embassy District. Seen from the air, C5 Cafe is a paradise in Sanlitun 24 hours a day. Coupled with the magnolia blossom season a few days ago, the C5 Cafe has become a stylish and natural sight in Beijing.
C5 Art, where C5 Cafe is located, was originally built for the gallery because it is the work of professional architects. The unique design sense runs through the inside and outside, simple and lively.
Beijing | Cafe Zarah
The melody of the new courtyard house
Cafe Zarah, which has been quietly popular on Gulou East Street for nearly a decade, sells German food, coffee and wine, and electronic music haunts its head after 18:00 every day. The Cafe Zarah space is divided into three parts: a floor-to-ceiling window hall with high steps to sit on the ground; a courtyard shrouded by an old Chinese toon tree and surrounded by three floor-to-ceiling windows; and a second-story attic, which is rare in Beijing's siheyuan, with a terrace overlooking the old house near Nanluoguxiang.
Sitting in the yard, the old Toona sinensis trees above their heads were rustled by the wind, along with two clumps of bamboo beside the concrete wall. From sight to hearing, there is a strong sense that Cafe Zarah wants to create an all-round experience.
Beijing | 27Coffee
The realistic version of the ideal Garden
On the north side of Lido Garden, a glass house surrounded by green plants has good quality coffee, hand-baked bread desserts and delicious light meals. When the weather is fine, the sun shines on the table through the glass room. Even if it is gloomy, the green wall is still full of vitality.
The predecessor of Coffee 27 was a Japanese wedding club. When the founder of Coffee 27 took over, it was given to Four O Nine, a design studio in Shanghai. Transform them to make full use of the sunlight through the glass roof, coupled with a large area of green plants, to turn this beautiful but somewhat naked glass house into an "ecological building." At the same time, the extensive use of log color devices, so that some of the original cold space has become cordial.
Nanjing | The Fish Tank
The Republic of China temperament of the old gallery
Fish tank is a painstaking but not excessive embellishment in life. "Fish tank coffee", embedded in the main building of the National gallery, stirs up a little sweetness in the depths of the courtyard of traditional culture. The cafe is a sunken structure, slightly deeper than the ground, the windows are high in the line of sight, and the marble tiles under its feet are unified with the outside, making it detached from the modern world.
Fish Tank has no intention of creating themes, naturally revealing aristocratic identity between modernity. The fully open central bar, with cement paving and wavy frames commonly used in the buildings of the Republic of China, echoes the rustic cement around it. Most of the works of art on this wall are monochromatic prints. The most conspicuous group in the depths depicts what the old gallery looked like at that time.
Hangzhou | Thank you for life
Touch the original color of life
Thank you Life is a three-story independent white house, located in the relatively quiet section of Nanshan Road near the West Lake. The whole building is completed by Shimashi Kojima of a small architecture firm in Japan, and the log-colored space is full of life.
The floor-to-ceiling windows wrapped in wooden strips occupy most of the area outside the house, greatly improving the indoor lighting and making it convenient for guests to enjoy the outdoor scenery. The small and large design takes the natural wood color as the main color and reduces the complicated decoration of the interior as much as possible.
The first floor is decorated with large areas of wood and is equipped with customized wooden tables and chairs. The unique texture of the wood is matched with hand-made lamps and lanterns, and the space looks bright and textured. The roof of the second floor is designed in the shape of hollowed-out sycamore leaves. When the lights fall in the twilight, the mottled leaves immediately appear, echoing the French sycamore trees planted outside.
Hangzhou | Muxin Cafe
A big heart of literature and art
Muxin Cafe uses one sentence to make a sign. The North Huancheng Road, which is located near the center of Hangzhou, is famous for the hustle and bustle of people and cars. The wooden heart is comfortably hidden inside, and a small world is made out of the dense creeper on the outer wall. Shadowy frosted glass, old-fashioned wooden shutters and sturdy wooden beams, as soon as they entered the cafe, they seemed to hear the blues of the old times, cut off from the hustle and bustle of the road outside the door.
The Muxin Cafe starts from a light American style, with dim light and shadow, wooden platform benches running through the space, antique suitcases on the walls, and an accordion symbolizing vagrancy-- echoing Muxin's "exile journey" to the United States. Every seemingly random old object in the space has a story: the classic cake chandelier, the original Apple computer, the African woodcarved mask. They are all original versions collected by shopkeepers from all over the world, across the ocean, to enrich the little feelings of an "old teenager".
Hangzhou | Flying Bird Collection
The firewood door of the mountain courtyard opens.
The biggest attraction of Hangzhou is its closeness to nature. The West Lake is just a business card for outsiders. Locals who really understand life know that the hill to the west of the West Lake is the best living room in the city.
As the name of the store suggests, the whole store exudes a naturalistic literary temperament, which is the summer flowers and autumn leaves of Tagore and the new rain of Wang Wei. The tables and chairs in the room are made of wood, and one area is designed as tatami; in the courtyard are two rows of rattan chairs, the eaves of the promenade protrude out to protect both the rain and the sun, and the two cats on the wooden floor are too lazy to be caressed by visitors.
Hangzhou | stop
Choose another hospital, stay and rest.
Don't hide at the foot of Yuhuang Mountain, the white cottage can only be found by a path leaning against the mountain and water. The owners are Wen Zi and Jin Haosen of MOON Photography Studio, who took wedding photos for Yang Mi and Liu Kaiwei. They and the designer of the Academy of Fine Arts spent nearly a year renovating this dilapidated house and creating an ideal residence with mountains and water.
The whole house is painted with a small and fresh white, a large area of glass connects naturally with the interior, and the white main tone coupled with transparent light makes it more bright and quiet. The structure of the cottage is mainly divided into two parts, the first floor is a cafe, the second floor and the third floor are residential rooms, the space layout is the same as the photographer's style, revealing a Japanese style.
Shanghai | FUMI
Coffee Vision of installation Art
There is a cafe called FUMI Coffee on Fumin Road, which retains the old brick of Shikumen, which is painted white. Irregular shape, rough sense of particles, enhance the diffusion of indoor sunlight.
FUMI Coffee has created two installation arts, one is the wall. The mocha pots of different sizes are made of stainless steel mirror material, reflecting the falling corners of the cafe. However, people will get different visual experiences because of the different angles they stand on each time.
The other is the ceiling. The ceiling uses a rich and quiet black tone, and the water mist-like streamlined sculpture outlines the invisible aroma of coffee, extending from indoor to outdoor, changing into tangible eaves outside, with a unique shape and the function of shelter from rain.
Shanghai | 20cafe
A pink cafe with a girl's heart
In the residential complex of Fahua Town Road, there is a cafe that makes a young girl's heart beat. Before meeting this store, many people never thought that they would be captured by pink.
The facade of the 20CAFE store is small and is divided into two floors. The first floor is outdoor space, and a semi-underground pink swimming pool is created on the left, which is a must-punch place for selfies. The wall on the right is yellow and collides beautifully with pink, setting off the mottled tree shadow, and the outline will change with the light. With a simple zebra crossing and a pink trolley, geometry and light and shadow meet here, which is a good place for concave shape.
The second floor is the indoor bar and dining area, the main tone of the space is a combination of jump-saturated pink and deep and cool gray, and the style suddenly becomes an industrial cafe.
