The time and speed of water passing through the coffee powder layer during extraction directly determine the flavor and extraction rate of your coffee, so if the water flow rate is fast, your coffee extraction may not be enough, the flavor is relatively weak, and on the contrary, it is very slow, and it may also form soaking, resulting in over-extraction, making the coffee flavor become strong, or even miscellaneous flavor. Therefore, as far as a filter cup is concerned, if you can freely switch and change the size and number of holes, and indirectly change the flow speed, perhaps the extraction process will become more adjustable.
December filter cup, one of the reasons for taking the number of "12" is that this filter cup is actually designed with 12 holes, and the disc bracket under the filter cup can be rotated with the filter cup of the funnel. You can understand that the structure is very similar to the packaging of black pepper that is common in our daily kitchen. When it rotates, the hole is exposed and then it is rotated to close the hole. In this way, there are four adjustment modes, from all off to all on, you can change the number of extraction holes according to the situation of different beans, thus changing the filtration rate.
In fact, this method is a bit similar to the smart cup, but it is more efficient and malleable than the smart cup, and you can more easily reduce and increase the holes to help you control the dripping time as much as possible. also try to make up for the shortcomings in other aspects of brewing coffee, such as controlling the flow rate yourself, or other factors that may affect the flow rate and time.
More importantly, you can adjust the number of holes in the December filter cup during the drip filtration process, so you can also intervene in the extraction process to make your coffee extraction accurate to the drip control in the process. Except for stage0, there are different number of hole opening modes, and then the designers also give some suggestions on which mode is more suitable for dripping how much coffee. For this set of reference data, you can choose how many holes you want to brew.
Stage1: suitable for brewing about 10-12 ounces, equivalent to 300-360ML coffee liquid.
Stage2: suitable for brewing about 14-16 ounces, equivalent to 400-475ML coffee liquid.
Stage3: suitable for brewing about 18-24 ounces, equivalent to 500-700mL coffee liquid.
With regard to this project, R & D and design began two years ago, and now it has been sold in South Korea, and designers have also tried various materials in the process, and the final choice is 18-10 stainless steel, which is very durable and resistant to erosion. so it is often used in medical stainless steel or tableware. The price of such a filter cup is about 45 US dollars, equivalent to 310 yuan, which is quite expensive in terms of the price of the filter cup on the market today, but the design concept of "multi-purpose cup" has greatly enhanced the actual use value and application scene of this filter cup, so it is worthy of this price in terms of its application value.
