The market for cold coffee is becoming more and more popular. After launching Nitro Cold Brew Coffee last summer, Seattle-based Starbucks will further extend the nitrogen-infused coffee to 1500 stores in 26 markets by the end of this year.

Starbucks also plans to sell air-cooled coffee at the company's bicycle coffee stalls, according to the Seattle Times. The bicycle coffee stand is equipped with a system with two faucets that can hold 2-4 small buckets of cold extracted coffee. Bicycle coffee stands can attract more customers for Starbucks stores set up on university campuses, retail parks and other places.

There are currently only two such bicycle coffee stands, one at Universal Studios in Florida and the other at Macy's in California. Eight more such coffee stands will be added later this year, one of which is in Seattle, though the location is unclear.

The system, which sells cold coffee like beer, is currently available in only 1200 stores in 16 markets around the world, nearly 1000 of which are in the United States.

Recently, cold-extracted coffee is becoming popular among the public. It is made by low temperature and slow extraction without any heating. It tastes sweeter, tastes smoother and has less acidity than traditional hot coffee. Starbucks injected nitrogen into the cold coffee, making the coffee taste similar to dark beer.

Sandy Stark, senior vice president of Starbucks, wrote in an official press release, "the company has been providing iced coffee, but the launch of the Cold extract Coffee console in 2015 acts as a catalyst that gives us the ability to launch new products such as air-cooled coffee. For this reason, the seasonality of iced coffee is no longer obvious and has gradually become a drink that can be supplied to customers all year round. "

Later this summer, Starbucks will launch two new cold drinks in 30 stores for a limited time, Nitro Flat White and Nitro Peach Tea, which are sold in a similar way to air-cooled coffee.
