About Panamanian Polar Manor
This is the second coffee in the Pacamara group of this year's 2017 BOP auction, from Coffee Polar Manor.
The Coffee Polar Manor is located on a beautiful natural plateau in the Volcancito region of Panama's Boquete Valley. 1500 meters above sea level, the annual lunchtime temperature is 23 ℃, and the night minimum temperature is 12 ℃. Located at Panama's highest altitude, Mount Baru (3475 meters), the fertile volcanic soil provides excellent nutrients to grow its excellent varieties of coffee.
Founded in the early 20th century, the farm is a self-sustainable farm founded by founder Massio Rojas arthas and his wife, Mrs. Corinne Lovela. On the farm, they grow sugar cane, run a small mill, raise some cows, have a vegetable garden, and, most painstakingly, grow coffee. In 1971, two sisters, Rojas de Petiti and Jennifer Rojas de Huang, inherited the farm and continued to work in the traditional way to maintain the farm.
The change took place in the decade of 1990, especially the trend of the boutique coffee movement, the two sisters paid close attention and actively introduced the farm, and the change began. The 28-hectare farm began to transform and change little by little, and gradually became a complete and pure coffee plantation. Most importantly, in 2004, the discovery of Rosa Coffee and its unique coffee flavor conquered the coffee world. By 2006, Virginia also began experimenting with planting on a small plot of land on the farm. She not only grows Rosa Coffee meticulously, but also constantly improves the variety of the whole farm, of which Pacamara Coffee has achieved excellent results in the BOP auction.
