Brigham Young University, a Mormon university in Utah, lifted a 60-year ban and allowed caffeinated sodas to be sold on campus, making Coca-Cola available on campus and making students excited.

Brigham Young University posted a photo of canned Coke on Twitter on Thursday with the simple caption: "It's happening."

The message was immediately welcomed by students and alumni on social networking sites, reminding students and alumni of how they used to put two liters of Coke in their rucksacks and bring them back to school to refresh themselves.

The school did not explicitly ban caffeine sodas on campus, but insisted on banning them, even though Mormons clarified in 2012 that the church had never banned caffeine sodas.

The ban on caffeine sodas came into effect in the mid-1950s, but the school decided to lift the ban in view of the growing demand for the sodas from more and more students on campus.
