Half-sun:

When it comes to half-sun, we have to mention Brazil. Brazil is synonymous with half-sun, so we often say half-sun in Brazil. Before half-sun was studied, Brazil basically used the method of tanning, but after the last issue, we also knew that half-sun came out, and it was really a double-edged sword, and Brazil was precisely the kind that was cut into itself. As a result, Brazilian beans have become synonymous with low quality, a bit like Yunnan beans today. However, Brazil, as the world's largest coffee bean producer, can't stand this kind of thing, so in the 1990s, half-sun treatment was born all over the world.

What is the difference between half-washing and half-sun treatment of coffee beans

The treatment of half-sun is basically that when more than 3/4 of the coffee fruits in the coffee garden are ripe, the coffee beans with pectin are extracted by the pulp planer after mechanical harvesting and washing in the same way as using a large water tank. After exposure outdoors, 2-3 days later, the water content of beans is further reduced to less than 12% by using a dryer, the dried beans are stored in a special container for about 10 days, and finally the sheep skin is ground off before export.

Semi-washed:

Since half-sun can stand alone in the world and make Brazil a new force, why don't other countries in Central and South America choose it? This will involve a moisture problem, wet areas, if the beans with pectin layer to outdoor exposure, not only can not be dehydrated, but easy to breed mold. However, the so-called eight Immortals crossing the sea show their magical powers, and these humid areas have developed semi-washed raw beans according to their own climatic characteristics. This method is now popular not only in countries with high humidity in Central and South America, but also in Indonesia in Asia. Myanmar, Laos and other countries are also starting to use.

What is the difference between half-washing and half-sun treatment of coffee beans

The treatment method of half-washing is similar to that of the first half of half-sun, except that after taking out the raw beans with pectin, it is not taken out from the sun, but removed with the pectin scraper, and the smooth beans can be obtained with a small amount of water. Then go to the sun, and when the water content is less than 12%, you can enter the warehouse.
