Coffee and Anxiety
In 1992, the research institute concluded that caffeine has an effect on anxiety: "only taking 300 milligrams or more of caffeine can increase anxiety, which is many times the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee drink." Taking a small amount of caffeine does not cause anxiety, and even in some special cases, a small amount of caffeine can ease people's anxiety. "
Since the publication of the review, two studies have shown that taking large amounts of caffeine can cause anxiety. So 600mg of caffeine ⑵ or 125mg of caffeine per cup of coffee ⑶ can increase anxiety. Caffeine poisoning is defined as a group of symptoms associated with a daily intake of 1000 to 1500 milligrams of caffeine, which is very similar to the symptoms of severe chronic anxiety disorder.
However, there is no evidence in the literature that caffeine intake leads to anxiety. Several intervention experiments with general moderate doses of caffeine have shown that caffeine has neither an anxious effect on normal individuals nor an effect on mental patients with anxiety disorders. And there is no evidence that caffeine increases anxiety caused by other stress stimuli. Therefore, there is no reason for people to modify it.
