Arvis Sanada Fair Trade Coffee exporters:

Arvis Sanada was founded by Mr. Sadarsah in Medan, North Sumatra, in 2001. Sadarsah was born in the coffee farmer family of the Gayo, an Indonesian minority. It was famous before it was conquered by the Kingdom of Sultan in Aceh in the 12th and 13th centuries, but it was persecuted and withered during the transfer of power. At present, it is mainly distributed in the areas around the Qijiayu Mountains in Central Asia in Aceh Province of Indonesia. In particular, Gayo Lues, located in the mountains, still preserves the traditional culture of a small number of Jiayu people.

During the Dutch colonial period in the 18th century, in order to increase the huge profits brought by the colonies, coffee was brought to the Jiayu Mountains to grow. In the past, coffee farmers sold coffee beans to coffee merchants in the Netherlands, and Sadarsah's parents were also coffee farmers. Dutch coffee merchants called the coffee "Gayo Mountain Mandelhing" and slowly gained the name of the producing area. This is the first time that Mantenin coffee has been classified as Gayo Mountain production.

In the past, any coffee exported from Sumatra was collectively called Manning, whether it came from the Jiayu Mountains in northern Aceh, the Aceh region, the Lindong region, or the Manning region. So Sadarsah decided to distinguish and promote Jiayushan Mantenin and set up a cooperative, becoming the only and first exporter of "Jiayushan Mantenin" in Indonesia. Later, Dutch businessmen suggested that Arvis Sanada obtain organic and fair trade certification to make the price of coffee better. Sadarsah began to apply for fair trade certification in 2004, but it took three years before and after the audit process to qualify as an exporter.

After that, ARVIS SANADA assisted Tunas Indah Fairtrade coffee farmers and KSU Arinagada Fairtrade coffee farmers' cooperatives to export raw beans to countries such as the Netherlands / the United States / Japan, accounting for 25% of Fairtrade coffee beans, 35% of organic coffee beans and the rest to traditional markets.
