Us media said that not long ago, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of some coffee bean packaging cans from the Italian company illy Coffee.

According to a report on Newsweek's website on May 14, the recall was issued by the US consumer protection agency, not the US Food and Drug Administration, because the lid of the can could "explode" and hit the can opener. The coffee beans themselves do not pose any security threat.

The Miami Herald first reported that nearly 65000 cans had no air valves at the bottom, which could cause a sudden explosion. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency also announced a recall of Italian Coffee 250 grams of deep-roasted beans, medium-roasted beans and low-caffeinated beans.

On May 10, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission said: "if there is no air valve at the bottom of the coffee can, the lid may suddenly explode when the can is opened, which is at risk of injury." A representative of the committee said on the 14th that when consumers open cans, the lid may hit the face. If the strength is strong enough, the lid may even cut the skin.

Reported that at present, there is no news that this product has caused injuries to consumers.

Canada said in the recall: "Coffee beans after pumping out the air will release carbon dioxide and accumulate in the coffee can, which may cause the coffee can to expand and increase the pressure, causing the lid to break off suddenly at the moment of opening the can."

Reported that the recall covers the entire North American market of Italian coffee cans, applicable to the best consumption period until October 2019 and November 2019 products.

The 8.8-ounce canned coffee beans produced by Yili Coffee are sold by ordinary people, Wal-Mart, Kroger, Target, whole Foods and Amazon. According to the official website of Italian Coffee Company, Francesco founded Italian Coffee Company in 1933 and is still headquartered in the Italian city of Trieste.
