Arabica coffee futures rose above $2 on Wednesday, extending the previous day's rally on concerns about production in Brazil, the largest producer of coffee beans. Cocoa futures fell after surging in the first minute of trading, hitting their highest level since May 2011.

ICE- December Arabica coffee futures rose 70 cents, or 0.4%, to close at $1.9815 a pound, hitting a four-week high of $2.0270.
Liffe- December futures fell 12 pounds, or 0.6 percent, to close at 2024 pounds a tonne. Liffe- October sugar futures closed down $2.40, or 0.6%, at $426.30 a tonne.
