Mangzhang Manor is located in Nayun Town, Menglian County, Yunnan Province, China. Founded by Hu Xixiang in January 1998, the farm covers an area of 512 hectares and is 1100 to 1640 meters above sea level. It is one of the largest coffee farms in Menglian County, Yunnan Province, with an annual output of 900t coffee.

In the past four years, Mangzhang has been promoted from a commercial-grade coffee such as Nestle to a boutique coffee farm. In January 2013, the CQI Cup of the United States scored 82.25. In 2015, the score of the third Pu'er Coffee Raw Bean Competition reached the SCAA grade. In 2016, the Yunnan Raw Bean Competition ranked 3rd and 12th, with a score of 84.3875 and 82.425 respectively, and the 8th in 2017.

In early January, we went to Mangzhang Manor to hold a master class on "Bean seed and treatment". We were amazed at the huge scale and experimental spirit of Mangzhang. With the help of the owner, we carried out fresh fruit picking and fermentation experiments on the spot. And the implementation of four treatments, such as sun exposure, Kenyan water washing, purple honey treatment, and wet planing. The new generation of young farmers in Mangzhang Manor are experimenting with a variety of different treatments, including water washing, semi-washing, honey treatment, sun exposure, semi-fermentation and underwater fermentation, and the main variety planted is Katim. They offered us several batches that were being tested, and we were very surprised by the quality of these batches, so we bought the first batch of sun-treated coffee from them as "Roaster 3".

In addition to the main field, Mangzhang also has six farms, such as Banka, Huile, Fuyan, Nuoche, Nuohu and Huijie, as well as a large shelling factory. They adopt advanced processing and shelling technology and machinery and equipment, and at the same time drive the employment of local 260households and more than 1000 people, and increase the income of local farmers, with an average annual income of 200-25000 yuan.
