Bourbon (Bourbon) is an Arabica coffee bean variety iron pickup (Typica) branch, native to the Indian Ocean Bourbon Island (now known as Reunion Island), generally grown in Central and South America, El Salvador, Brazil (Barzil), Rwanda, Panama (Banama)... and other places. Early Bourbon was a variant of Ethiopian Typica transplanted to Yemen. France from 1715 AD transplant Yemen mocha round body beans to the east coast of Africa Bourbon Island (renamed Reunion Island after the French Revolution) after the name Bourbon, Bourbon round body beans in 1727 also spread to Brazil and Central and South America, 1732 British transplant Yemen mocha to St. Helena Island is also Bourbon round body beans. The biggest difference between its appearance and iron pickup is that the leaves are wider, the coffee fruit is smaller, and the production is more intensive. Therefore, the appearance difference of coffee fruit is smaller and rounder than iron pickup.

Bourbon is the winner of the American Fine Coffee Cup test. Taiwan has also successfully cultivated yellow bourbon since 2011, mainly in Taiwan's China News Agency, Dongshi, Alishan, Dongshan, Pingdong and Taitung. At present, the number of cultivation has not yet reached the economic scale and the number is rare.

Ripe coffee beans are generally red in color, but bourbon mature coffee is yellow in color, so it is commonly referred to as Yellow Bourbon. In Brazil, the world's largest coffee bean export region, yellow bourbon production accounts for less than 1%, quite rare.

Grind 15g yellow bourbon coffee beans, scale 4, and start with 92 ° C hot water. Steam with about 45g water for about 30 seconds. Brew about 220g coffee (about 2/3 mug) in a continuous water method.

Hot coffee has a cocoa/chocolate-like aroma on the palate with a caramel sweetness.

Cold coffee tastes slightly sour in the mouth, blending with the original cocoa/chocolate flavor, and the caramel flavor will return to the mouth after drinking.
