Three cups of coffee a day doubles the number of people with diabetes
In life, many people often make a cup of coffee to relieve their sleepiness, and some even take a day off without a good cup of coffee. But a new study from Italy found that drinking more than three cups of coffee a day doubled the risk of diabetes. This doubt gives coffee drinkers a "slap".
Drinking coffee regularly can increase the risk of early diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes, in hyperglycemia patients with slow caffeine metabolism, according to a recent report by the Daily Mail.
The researchers examined 1180 patients aged between 1845 and early stage of high blood pressure (without diabetes) and found that 87% of coffee drinkers drank 1 to 3 cups of coffee a day and drank more than 3 cups of coffee a day. 42% of the participants were quick to replace caffeine, while 58% were slow to replace it.
