Introduction to Jensen Manor in Qianjie

Jensen Manor in Panama was founded 80 years ago by Swiss Carl Jensen and his wife Margaret, and is still managed by the family Jensen. The manor is located in the Baru volcano producing area of Chiriki province, with an elevation of 1500 meters. The good natural environment and abundant precipitation brought by ocean currents, coupled with the fertile volcanic soil, make it an Eden that breeds fine coffee. Jensen Manor not only grows rose summer, but also produces high-quality Kaddura, Kaduai and Pacamara and so on.

The excellent natural environment, planting technology and production management have contributed to the excellent raw bean quality of Jensen Manor. Jensen Manor has been on the list many times in previous BOP (Best Of Panama Raw Bean auction), and won the second and third place in Rosa Group in 2013 and 2016 respectively.

This Jansen sun rose summer has a strong aroma of white flowers and bright yellow tropical fruit acidity, the medium temperature is reflected in pineapple sauce, honey and other soft and sweet characteristics, cool is a clear bergamot and Darjeeling Earl Grey Tea aromas. in this way, in other Panamanian roses with raw beans of more than 1,000 yuan, Jason is a super "industry conscience".

Located in the Volcan Walken region, surrounded by mountains, the average annual rainfall is less than that of Boquete Poquet, and because it is located to the west of Mount Baru, it will have a stronger dried fruit flavor and sweetness than the Boquete region. With an average elevation of about 1700 meters, it is located in Volcon on the west side of the Baru volcano, with a total area of 1200 hectares. The soil of the farm is rich in nutrients, abundant rainfall and suitable temperature. The operators of the Jensen family follow the principle of environmentally friendly operation, adopt a 100% sustainable planting method, and specially build treatment plants to treat coffee cherries and use them as farm fertilizer; only 2000 rose summers are planted per hectare to ensure that there is enough soil between the plants; half of the estate is planted with roses, ranking second in the output of Panamanian roses, and each batch of raw beans has a highly identifiable batch number that is 100% traceable.

The coffee beans picked are called "cow blood red coffee cherries". They are particularly sweet, and the processing plant is dedicated to handle the coffee cherries and make great efforts on baking in order to improve the reference of the cup test results.

Changes in summer prices at Emerald Manor: $21 / lb in 2004, $50.25 / lb in 2006, $130 / lb in 2007, $170.2 / lb in 2010 and $601 / lb in 2017 at the auction of Panamanian boutique coffee. In other words, the price of a kilogram of raw beans is as high as 8900 yuan.

This year, the winner of the 2018 Panamanian coffee competition is also Jade Manor's Geisha, which sells for $340 per pound.

The beans with 1700 meters of high hardness and high density are full in shape, medium particle size, thick and long, and pointed at both ends.

The most famous coffee beans are COE (excellent Cup), BOP (Panama's Best Coffee) and so on. Every year, those famous coffee estates or new coffee estates will carefully select the best coffee beans they grow. These "beauties" will accept cup tests from experienced practitioners in the field of fine coffee. Then from the taste, aroma, thickness, cleanliness, aftertaste, balance and other dimensions to give the score, and then weighted to get the total score, and then ranked from high to low.
