Coffee, more and more people like it, and even catch up with fast food tea, such as milk tea, but each has its own strengths in the consumer group. When it comes to coffee, we have to mention hand-brewed coffee and espresso. Hand-brewed coffee is the most commonly used single-product coffee. The undecorated beauty of hand-brewed coffee, not rough, not disguised, not simple, it is another better interpretation of coffee. On the whole, the hand should be gentle in the final analysis. It's just relative to espresso.

In a person's afternoon, coffee, books, soft chairs and these simple combinations constitute a simple happiness, just like the beautiful hand that makes a single cup of coffee, you can see the most authentic appearance from the extraction to the drips of coffee, compared to Italian, that kind of nine atmospheric pressure extraction, this is the second reason for my tenderness. It can be said that, in fact, Italian style also has such a throbbing, but you have not drunk it, that may be the third reason why this product is good, that is, it is easier for people who do not like coffee to fall in love with coffee and enjoy it the way it is at first. There is no denying that the Italian style is more foolish and more acceptable to the hand, but perhaps it is the unique beauty of the hand that attracts so many people.

Let's see the difference between hand-brewed coffee and espresso.

1. Coffee beans are different.

Hand-made coffee

In general, hand-made coffee uses single coffee beans as raw materials, and the roasted beans are mainly light-roasted and medium-roasted, of course, some people like to use deep-roasted coffee beans.

Espresso

Espresso is usually made from a mixture of different kinds of coffee, also known as mixed coffee beans, which are widely used in making espresso tea, such as cappuccino, American coffee and latte, most of which are roasted deeply to match milk and hot water. This kind of coffee can only be grinded by a professional Italian bean grinder, which is also the basis and key to making high quality Italian coffee.

2. The method of making coffee by hand is different.

Basically, most hand-brewed coffee is extracted with a filter cup, that is, at normal atmospheric pressure. If you use a mocha pot, Philharmonic pressure, etc., the extraction pressure can also reach 3bar (three atmospheres).

Espresso

Using the espresso machine extraction, the pressure of the machine will make the extraction state up to 9 bar (9 atmospheres), the pressed powder in the powder bowl will bear the heavy pressure of 133kg, making the seed release a lot of coffee substances, including some flavor substances that are difficult to dissolve under atmospheric pressure, so espresso is thicker, suitable for making latte with milk or American coffee with water.

3. The caffeine content is different.

In the case of the same amount of powder and grinding thickness, because caffeine is a water-soluble substance, the longer it takes to brew, the more caffeine is released. The brewing time of coffee is usually 1-3 minutes, and that of espresso is usually 20-30 seconds, so the caffeine content of hand-brewed coffee will be higher with the same amount of powder and grinding thickness. It can be seen that coffee extracted for a long time, such as ice drop coffee and cold brewed coffee, has a much higher caffeine content than other coffee.

You can see that there is a great difference in the concentration between hand-brewed coffee and Espresso coffee liquid. When milk is added to a single coffee, the aroma and flavor of the coffee itself will be masked by milk, so generally coffee shops do not recommend hand-brewed coffee with milk.
