Starbucks Cafe recommends: how about the first cashier-free smart coffee shop between Starbucks and Amazon?
Last month, several media reported that Starbucks and Amazon would work together to open a smart coffee shop without cashiers.
According to foreign media, Starbucks opened its first cashier-free coffee shop with Amazon on 59th Street in New York City on Thursday (November 18), between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue.
Unlike previous Starbucks stores, customers don't have to wait in line at the cashier to pay when spending at the new store. Kathryn Young, senior vice president of Starbucks, said: if you want to take out, customers can order or order on-site through Starbucks APP, and you can get coffee after payment without queuing. If it is for internal use, you can simply use credit card, Amazon APP or its electronic payment to check out and get food directly from the shelf. Earlier, the media pointed out that the coffee shop is a service store designed for urbanites between the ages of 25 and 45 or those who are pressed for time. because of Amazon's Just Walk Out technology, Amazon's cashier-free Go store is combined with the cafe, and customers can order drinks directly through the app and pick them up at the counter, greatly saving the time of waiting in line to pay.
The first unmanned coffee shop offers classic Starbucks products, Amazon Kitchen's prepared salads and sandwiches and other local favorites.
In addition, the store also has a sitting area with a desk and work space.
The new technology to achieve grab-and-go is a decision made by Starbucks to improve the queuing and shopping experience of consumers. Hit by the epidemic, labor shortage has become a major problem in the US market, so some companies such as Starbucks are using technologies such as artificial intelligence, robots and digital touch screens to save labor, foreign media said.
Prior to this, also because of the epidemic, Starbucks' traditional cafe stores were hit hard, so Starbucks also changed its previous store operation model.
For example, Starbucks announced the closure of some stores in the United States, while the new stores also adopted an innovative experience model-Starbucks took the lead in adopting a series of "buy and go" (on-the-go experiences) strategies, including roadside food picking up, car restaurants, mobile phone food ordering, etc., increasing the number of places dedicated to picking up goods, and so on.
Starbucks also plans to open more "mini stores", or on-the-go experiences without seating, after sales at Starbucks car restaurants rose more than 10 per cent during the outbreak, according to statistics.
In addition, at that time, Starbucks also added pick-up and car service restaurants, and planned to step up efforts to launch self-concept stores-- there are no seats in the stores, all changed to take-out stores, on the one hand, they want to provide consumers with a safe consumption distance, and on the other hand, users can quickly place orders in the car and drive to the side of the road to pick up goods.
Last.
As for the smart coffee shop without cashiers, Kathryn Young, Starbucks senior vice president for global growth and development, said: Starbucks and Amazon plan to open at least two more stores in the US in 2022.
According to related news, the second store will open in the The New York Times building in New York City next year, and the exact location of the third store has yet to be determined.

What are the characteristics of wine-flavored coffee beans with clean and varied flavor
Wine solarization is neither the use of fruit treatment to expose grapes with boutique coffee beans, nor oak barrel fermentation to enhance the sense of fermentation through honey treatment, let alone traditional sun treatment. In the initial selection of beans, the ripe fruits are selected more carefully, and the exposure time is prolonged, and farmers need to constantly check out the raw beans.
