Recently, Luckin Coffee officially announced the start of a new round of recruitment programs for new retail partners. According to reports, the recruitment program focuses on 41 cities in nine provinces of Anhui, Henan, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Shanxi and Shaanxi.
Luckin Coffee official said that the above targeted cities are priority open recruitment cities, cities outside the scope of the normal retention of capital, Ruixing will irregularly open partners to recruit according to the city's investment promotion progress.
As long as the franchisee with relevant experience can require independent operation, and the novice rookie will provide greater support, for example, the late business flow is abnormal, the headquarters will provide emergency response plans, provide offline guidance with shop teachers and help with holiday activity planning, the construction of online platform, and so on.
It is understood that the 41 cities covered by the above focus belong to cities that have joined stores. A common feature of these cities is that the number of stores is not dense, and the number of stores is basically distributed to no more than 10. For example, Shanxi Datong and Yuncheng have 6 and 2 stores respectively, while Yulin, Shaanxi has 3 stores, and at least Xinzhou, Shanxi has only one store.
From the latest release of the third quarter of 2022 financial results, Luckin Coffee currently has a total of 7846 stores in China, covering more than 230 cities, and the number of APP registered users is over 100 million. Luckin Coffee adopts the store strategy of "self-management + joint venture". The two models are highly complementary and accelerate the layout of stores across the country.
According to public data, the franchise was launched as early as 2019, and according to Ruixing, it was suspended in 2020 because it was "affected by the epidemic." It was not until early 2021 that the group decided to rejoin, and Luckin Coffee issued another statement on Aug. 22 this year, saying that partner recruitment had been suspended at this stage and that the opening hours would be subject to official notice. Until December 5, Luckin Coffee posted a notice on his official Wechat account that a new round of partner recruitment was launched again.
Luckin Coffee's public partner recruitment program shows that the new retail partner recruitment program does not charge any joining fees, but also provides marketing support, global traffic support, digital operation and so on.
Although the new partner to join Luckin Coffee is 0 franchise fee, but in order to ensure operation, it is necessary to pay 50, 000 yuan deposit, 5, 000 yuan design fee, decoration cost 11-130000 (blank), equipment cost about 190000. In this way, the franchisee needs to invest 35-370000 yuan in the early stage, and the later franchisee needs to continue to spend on staff wages, rent, water and electricity, and raw materials for products.
Joining the business is a very important part for Luckin Coffee. Among Luckin Coffee's 7846 stores, there are 5373 self-owned stores and 2473 joint-venture stores. Compared with the same period last year, Luckin Coffee had a total of 5671 stores in the third quarter of 2021, including 4206 self-owned stores and 1465 joint-venture stores.
The increase in the number of joint venture stores has also increased Luckin Coffee's income. Luckin Coffee's financial report shows that the revenue of joint venture stores in the third quarter of 2022 was 899.1 million yuan, accounting for 23.1% of the total net income, an increase of 116.1% compared with 416.1 million yuan in the same period in 2021. Compared with other new consumer brands, Ruixing still has a lot of space in terms of distribution and regional scale expansion, and this time it will be reopened and joined, or in order to expand rapidly.
At Luckin Coffee's third-quarter results meeting in 2022, Luckin Coffee Chairman and CEO Guo Jinyi said that he would continue to maintain the "competitive" pace of new store expansion.
