It is also natural to think that single coffee tastes better than the coffee made with beans that I have drunk before, and it is expensive for a reason.

Matching beans is a technical job, and any effect you want can be achieved through matching. For example, coffee beans with very good flavor can be achieved regardless of cost, and it can also be achieved by combining coffee beans with good quality and low price with economy as the center. So blending beans mainly depends on the result you want, but in view of the fact that many coffee shops have chosen high-quality and cheap beans in the past, people's perception of mixed beans has been stereotyped. Compared to the original position of single bean is boutique coffee, so it is directly applied to Italian coffee to become SOE. In the positioning of merchants, SOE must be higher than matching beans. The logic is that whether it's SOE or blended beans, the main factor in quality and flavor is what kind of coffee beans you choose. With the increasing demand for coffee quality (flavor), it is an inevitable trend to introduce coffee beans with higher price and better flavor.

No matter it is a single product or a mix, it is a means. In view of the stereotyped influence that mixed beans are low-end beans, choosing a new concept of SOE can make people accept the fact of high-end beans. So merchants will focus on flavor when choosing SOE coffee beans, and the aim is to let people tell the difference from the basic model. So you won't see coffee shops offering Mantenin SOE, Luodou SOE, Brazilian SOE, usually Ethiopian SOE, Costa Rican SOE, anaerobic Colombian SOE, which have very different flavors from traditional blended beans. When the concept of SOE is fully popularized, the next trend concept will be boutique blending, and the already popular SOE beans will once again become the raw material of the formula.
