What ratio of water temperature and ground does the smart cup method use to press coffee? The difference between brewed coffee and filtered coffee?
To make a good cup of espresso, we need to be proficient in the underlying logic of extraction, and then after 2 to 3 extraction adjustments, we can get a satisfactory cup of espresso; if we want to make a good cup of hand-brewed coffee, we need to be proficient in the relationship between water flow control and familiar with the parameters, so that we can make an ideal cup of delicious coffee...
It can be found that the production of most delicious coffee requires either a certain degree of skill proficiency or complex and cumbersome preparations. For friends who want to have a simple cup of coffee, all this is too! Ma! Annoying! La!!! Is there any way to make a good coffee drink without mastering any skills, preparing any complex equipment, and requiring no cumbersome operations? Some friends! Yes!! There is really a way where you don't need to prepare too many tools or master too many skills to make a cup of coffee easily. Moreover, this method is often shared on the street. For example, this method has been mentioned in previous Smart Cup, French Press Pot, Hanging Ear, and yesterday's cup test articles! What is it? That's right! It's-soak.
By mixing coffee powder with water and soaking it for a while, and then filtering out the coffee grounds, we can get a cup of delicious coffee with a full flavor and evenly extracted content. Many friends often mistakenly believe that the coffee made in this way will not taste good because of the too simple method. In fact, in most cases, the reason why coffee is not good is because the parameters are not used correctly. Although the method is simple, as long as we use the right parameters, the brewed coffee will be quite delicious.
Not only that, immersion extraction has two very pleasing advantages! The first is that it does not require too much equipment. You can make coffee by pressing a pot, a smart cup, or preparing two arbitrary containers and a tool for filtering coffee grounds. It is very simple. Secondly, immersion extraction has a very high fault tolerance rate. As Qianjie has always shared, coffee will not be so easy to overextract. Even if you use a finer grind, a higher water temperature, and a longer soak time, the bitter taste of the coffee will not be easily dissolved.
Because the water temperature of steeping coffee is not constant temperature, it will continue to decrease during the steeping process; secondly, the concentration gradient principle, the rate of dissolution of substances will gradually decrease as the concentration of the liquid increases; finally, the coffee powder will not be excessively stirred during the steeping process. When the three are combined, this makes the bitter and miscellaneous taste that is already slowly dissolving in the body of coffee dissolve more slowly. Naturally, the coffee is not easy to overextract. Therefore, Qianjie said that it is very simple to soak a cup of delicious coffee, as long as the parameters are right. So today Qianjie came to share with you again how we can easily soak a cup of delicious coffee ~
In terms of making sharing equipment, if you have a smart cup and a French press pot, you can directly use these two equipment. If you don't, then just as the front street said, you can prepare two arbitrary containers and a filtering tool. One of the containers should preferably have a diversion spout, which makes it easier for us to pour out the coffee. Then the filtering tool can choose filter paper cup/filter screen/filter cloth. If you want the coffee to taste cleaner, choose filter paper cup; and if you want the coffee to taste mellow and have a stronger aroma, you can choose filter or filter cloth.
In terms of parameters, according to the different degrees of roasting of the coffee beans, the degree of grinding we choose needs to be different, but otherwise the same. As follows: powder to water ratio: 1:15 Blowing water temperature: water can be boiled. Degree of grinding: Light to medium and light roasted coffee beans are 75% to 80% of the sieve number 20, medium to deep roasted coffee beans are 70% to 75% of the sieve number 20. It is the conventional hot flushing grinding degree, fine granulated sugar particles. Soaking time: 8 minutes (If we need to shorten the time, we can increase the number of agitation during the process) The coffee beans used in this Qianjie demonstration are Essi Huakui in the bean list (it is one of the beans in this event. The event ends tonight, so friends who have not caught up should pay attention ~). It is a medium and light roasted coffee bean, and the amount of powder used is 20g.
First, we poured coffee powder and hot water into the sharing pot in turn. Because the amount of powder used in Qianjie is 20g, the amount of water poured here is 300ml.
After pouring the hot water, we stood still and waited for 4 minutes. After 4 minutes, take out any tool and press down the coffee powder floating on the surface, and then wait for another 4 minutes.
When the time comes to 8 minutes, we can prepare the filtering tool to filter out the coffee grounds. If the filter paper and cup combination are used for filtering, the filtering time will be about 1 minute. Remember to shake it properly before filtering.
The coffee soaked in this way will have a very different taste and taste from the hand-brewed coffee. Because the hand-brewed coffee takes a short brewing time and the extraction will not be very uniform, the final coffee will have a very rich sense of hierarchy. The characteristics of soaked coffee have been shared before. Because the coffee powder is all soaked in water, the extraction efficiency they receive is similar, and the dissolved substances are roughly the same. Because of this, the coffee produced in this way will have a very balanced taste, a higher sweetness, and a more mellow taste. The flavor is also excellent. Strawberries, citrus, berries, oolong tea, very good ~
So the above is all the content shared this time! I highly recommend everyone to try it. Compared to hand-brewed coffee or most other methods of making coffee, soaking is much simpler. And the difficulty of getting started is very low. Just grind the coffee powder, boil the water, mix and soak it in proportion ~ Try it ~
