Indonesia is a country that stresses food. In this World Expo, Indonesia Pavilion specially brought national treasure food-cat feces coffee. Cat feces coffee is a unique coffee variety in Indonesia. It is said that the price of each gram is more expensive than gold.

The English name for cat poop coffee is Kopi Luwak,"Kopi" is Indonesian for "coffee," and "Luwak" is a wild civet that grows in the Indonesian archipelago. As the name suggests, cat poop coffee is related to the Indonesian wild civets, which are unique wild vegetarians and love to wrap themselves in coffee berries and attack the most mature coffee beans.

Because the stomach of the civet can only digest part of the pulp, and a hard core (ie coffee beans) failed to digest, it is discharged with the civet's excrement. Intestinal acid corrosion, the general uneven surface of coffee beans obviously smooth,"biological energy" instead of the traditional processing technology, reduce the acid and bitter in the original beans, so special mellow. These civets after "special" coffee beans are fine, was found to brew coffee out of these strange taste,"cat poop coffee" hence the name.

Unfortunately, in the past, wild civets in Indonesia were severely hunted, causing the number of wild civets to drop sharply. The number of civets is small, and the natural yield of cat feces coffee produced by them is not high. At present, Indonesia produces only about 1000 pounds of cat feces coffee every year. Moreover, in the international market, the price of cat poop coffee is always around US $1000 per kilogram, which is a veritable luxury.
