Coffee study found that caffeine does not cause cancer
Cancer is one of the most terrible diseases. It quietly threatens lives. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. Millions of people have or have had cancer. There are many types of cancer, but they all begin with the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells. Cancer cells can metastasize to other parts of the body, and the process of cancer cells growing to replace normal tissue is called spread. The risk for the development of most types of cancer can be reduced through lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking and eating healthily. For decades, caffeine was mistakenly thought to cause many types of cancer, but this view was later rejected by rigorous research.
The English word for Cancer is derived from the Greek karkifios "crab". Caicinos and Caicinoma were first used in Hippocrates (460-370 BC) because the protruding finger-like extension of the tumor is reminiscent of the shape of a crab. He attributed the disease to excessive secretion of black bile. At that time, people thought that the body contained four substances (body fluids)-blood, mucus, yellow bile and black bile. The balance of these fluids is maintained in a healthy state, and the excess or lack of any kind of body fluid can cause disease. Little was known about cancer for centuries until John Hunter, a famous Scottish surgeon, thought some cancers could be cured by surgery, when he said "there is nothing wrong with removing tumors". But at that time, there was no anaesthesia, and cancer surgery could not be widely performed. The emergence of anesthesia has brought significant benefits to medicine, enabling some cancers to be cured by surgery. Modern science recognizes that many substances that cause cancer, such as coal tar and its derivatives, such as benzene, some hydrocarbons, aniline, asbestos and so on. It is well known that radiation from a variety of light sources, including ultraviolet rays, can cause cancer. Some viruses are now also associated with cancer, for example, chronic hepatitis virus infection can cause liver cancer; various herpes and EB viruses can cause infectious mononucleosis and be associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma; human papillomavirus is associated with cervical, vulvar and penile cancer; and human immunodeficiency virus is associated with some tumorigenesis, notably non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and Kaposi's sarcoma.
