Coffee grinder round blade and parallel blade (flat plate) blade
Brewing Espresso requires a special bean grinder that can grind coffee beans, and the special bean grinder, depending on the shape of the blade, can be roughly divided into two types of circular blades and parallel (flat) blades. As for the bean grinder, it should be selected according to the bean type used or the flavor of the Espresso you want to brew. When grinding coffee beans, the circular blade grinder can rotate 400-600 times in one minute, while the parallel blade (flat plate type) can rotate 1400-1600 times in one minute. The more times the grinder rotates, the hotter the coffee beans will be. In this regard, the circular grinder may be more suitable for grinding coffee beans. However, in terms of the uniformity of the powder after grinding, Parallel (flat) blade is more dominant, round blade grinder, because of its blade shape, ground coffee powder is more likely to produce uneven grinding, coarse and fine particle concentration, the opposite of parallel (flat) blade grinder. Because the two blades rotate in parallel to grind the coffee beans, they can be ground to a uniform thickness. If the coffee powder is uneven, the extract of Espresso will be unstable.
In addition, roasted coffee beans, if ground with a circular blade grinder, because some particles will be coarse, and flavor does not come out, on the contrary, deep roasted coffee beans, if ground with a parallel (flat) blade grinder, will be because the particles are fine, and let the taste too bitter. However, no matter what kind of grinder is used, under long-term use, the blade will gradually become dull, therefore, the round blade grinder grinds about 100kg of coffee beans, and the parallel blade grinder grinds about 500Kg of coffee beans. After the new blade should be replaced, if the blade becomes dull, even if the grinding scale is set, it will be unstable because of uneven grinding of coffee beans.
