Smell: put the coffee beans close to the nose and smell them deeply to see if you can clearly smell the aroma of the coffee beans. If so, the coffee beans are fresh enough.
Look: spread the coffee beans on your hands, determine the origin and variety of coffee beans, and determine whether the coffee beans are roasted evenly. If the shallow roasted beans produce serious oil, it means that they have gone bad, and if the heavily baked beans do not shine on the surface, it means that they have been put for too long and are not fresh coffee beans.
Peel: take a coffee bean and try to peel it off by hand. if the coffee bean is fresh enough, it should be easy to pull away, and it will have a crisp sound and feeling. Another important point to observe when peeling off the coffee beans is to see if the firepower is uniform when baking. If it is uniform, the outer skin and inner layer of the beans should be the same color.
When shopping, grab one or two coffee beans and chew them in your mouth. If the coffee beans are crisp and sound, and the tooth pods stay fragrant is the top grade, but it is best to squeeze them with your hands to feel whether they are solid, rather than buying empty-shell coffee. These are all when you can see the sample beans, but now most of the coffee beans are sealed in coffee bags with an one-way exhaust valve (if not in this kind of bag, you don't have to think about it), you can't see it, you can't touch it, and you can't trust the date to be fake. The simple method is to point the one-way exhaust valve at the nose, gently squeeze the coffee bag and smell the squeezed gas. if it is a charming and fragrant aroma of coffee, the freshness is not a problem, on the contrary, if it does not smell strong enough, or even smells of smelly oil, it means that this bag of coffee has already gone bad and should be avoided. The best advice is to try to find a supplier of baked beans that has a good reputation and suits your taste, either a big brand or a neighborhood cafe, and buy it as many times as possible (preferably as much as you can drink within two weeks). Seal the beans and keep them sealed and boiled and drunk.
