The COE Coffee Raw Bean Competition in five countries will be suspended.

Cup of Excellence is often abbreviated as "COE" and often translated as "extraordinary Cup" in Chinese. It is a coffee raw bean competition held by Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) in some coffee producing countries. It is world-famous and is an important event concerned by many raw coffee bean merchants all over the world. Since it first started in Brazil in 1999, it has been successfully held many times in 11 coffee-producing countries. However, ACE Chairman Geoff Watts announced in a recent letter to its member countries that the COE competition in five countries would be suspended in 2016.
The 2016 COE Raw Bean Competition will only be held in Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras (Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras). Five coffee-producing countries, Burundi, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua and Rwanda (Burundi, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua and Rwanda), will suspend the competition, while Bolivia, another coffee producer, has suspended its COE competition since 2009.
The suspension of the COE Coffee Bean Competition in these coffee-producing countries has aroused great concern among buyers of raw coffee beans. ACE said the suspension of competitions in these coffee-producing countries was only temporary. They will develop new auction platforms, update existing competition rules, develop e-cup test forms, improve the post-auction delivery service system, etc. (source: Nick Brown | July 20, 2015).
